The best part of an exciting opportunity like coming to Australia to study is the fact that you get to meet so many interesting people from amazing cultures all around the world. But there’s one simple catch: you have to put in the effort to meet them! With this in mind, there’s no sense in wasting your time or your effort, so I thought I’d offer you some tips on how to meet all these amazing people!

 

Tip 1: Go to orientation

I won’t lie to you; there are some boring speeches. BUT, you will meet so many awesome new friends, that it’s totally worth it. Australian universities do an amazing job of have having great social gatherings around orientation, so make sure that you get involved and meet everyone you can there!

 

Tip 2: Stay in student accommodation

 

If you’re looking for a place to stay, try and pick somewhere that will have a lot of students around! It makes the living experience so enjoyable when you’re around other like minded students, that you can’t help but enjoy yourself.

 

Tip 3: Get involved in student clubs

 

Australian universities offer a wide variety of clubs and societies that can help you get involved and meet people really easily, and have a blast while doing it! International student clubs at universities are especially great for organizing international student outings and initiatives which can help you have the time of your life.
